2011 Parent Survey Results
Wornick participated in a subsidized program by PEJE from Measuring Success to conduct a rigorous and statistically valid parent survey that would give us insights into the perceptions of our program AND benchmark those perceptions vis a vis other comparable Jewish Day Schools.
On June 16, the administration and the Trustees who were available attended a six hour session reviewing the data with an expert from Measuring Success. The materials are below and I recommend that everyone read the PDF of all the results - it's long but very valuable. We will be sharing the highlights with the community in the first week of September at a Parents Meeting (not Back to School night). Additionally, if you want to see detailed data cut by demographics, grades, financial aid received, etc., then open the Excel spreadsheet called Wornick - Data Appendix.
There are also open ended questions with answers that Barbara is reviewing and acting upon where appropriate (not in the zip file below - sorry).
During the session, the attendees created an action plan and communication plan.

If you prefer all four documents in one tidy zip file - here it is.
This information is fascinating and gives me a clear sense of where we are and where we need to go. I hope you will all read it in depth and think about how it applies to your role as a Trustee and your committees. Please be sure to have read it prior to our September 1 retreat.
